With 2.350 km2 of catchment area, Lake Garda is the biggest lake in Italy. Even though Lake Garda’s areas are divided between three different Italian regions (Veneto, Trento and South Tyrol, Lombardy), all those pictures where taken from the shore located in the region of Veneto.

The lake has a particularly mild climate, which favors the growth of Mediterranean plants like lemon and olive trees.

The lake is a popular holiday location for tourists, that not only come for the scenery and good food, but also for the biggest amusement park in Italy, Gardaland, which ranked fifth in the top ten amusement parks in the world by Forbes Magazine.
